Betrayal have premiered a new song titled “Pieces of Home” on their Facebook page located here http://www.facebook.com/betrayalhc. The song comes from the band’s as-of-yet titled EP, which is being produced by Kyle Black (Shai Hulud, Alpha & Omega).

Vocalist Brendan Foley explains the song as “a song about trying to hold the parts of your life that you couldn’t think about living without together when everywhere you are feels like its half way across the world from home.” Adding, “Its about making that choice to live without your parents, without your family and without your friends, knowing that while you’re gone those people and your relationships with them might not be the same when you get back. Each member of my family is a piece of my home; this song is for them to know how much it kills me to leave time and time again.

Betrayal will release their new EP this August via Mediaskare Records.

  • January28th

King Conquer have released a lyric video for their track “A Day Late… and A Dollar Short”, which will appear on the band’s upcoming new album ‘1776‘. The lyric video can be seen at the band’s official Facebook page located at http://www.facebook.com/kingconquerfl. Speaking on the track, guitarist John Byrd commented “The title of the track explains the theme of the song. The message is our economy isn’t broken, it’s fixed, and as the average citizen you’re always held down by the elitists that are robbing our country blind, and collapsing this great country.

Produced by Charlie Wall (Betraying The Martyrs, Abiotic), ‘1776‘ is the follow up to 2010′s ‘America’s Most Haunted‘. Expanding on the meaning behind the title of the album, Byrd stated “We chose to title the album ’1776′ for a few reasons. First, all of our members believe we need to restore our republic that’s been destroyed.” Adding, “Second, I believe our band had a fresh new start with this record, as did the colonies in that year. Our writing process has improved on every aspect and we’re attacking this industry with full force. We’re sick of the diluted metal scene and how it’s over saturated with gimmicks and choreographed stage moves. People need something authentic and real, we hope to provide them with that.

1776‘ is set to hit stores and digital retailers this spring through Mediaskare Records.
