THE PRESTIGE have posted a new track from their forthcoming album, “Ecotone“; the track is titled “World At My Feet” and can be heard via as an ‘ABSOLUTExclusive’ at To give insight into the song, vocalist JC Hamel offered the following:

Depression is hell of a nightmare for anyone stuck with it. You tend to see the bad side out of everything, and you carry some sort of sadness around with you wherever you go. This song is a window on the moment where you realize what the situation is, and decide when/where you flip things over, and start seeing the beauty in everything.” Adding, “It’s never too late to turn around, we’ve all been there. We feel having your feet at the top of the world is an equivalent of making the best we can out of anything.”

The band teamed with producer Antoine Lussier (Obey The Brave, Ion Dissonance) AT .357 Productions to record “Ecotone“, whom the band has worked with in the past. “It was the third time we hit the studios with him and we had a blast. He truly is a genius and he helped us craft the sound we were always looking for. We are very proud of how it sounds and cannot wait to have everyone listen to it.” stated guitarist Sebastien Marois.

Ecotone” hits stores March 18th on Mediaskare Records. Exclusive pre-order packages can be purchased at

Mediaskare Records is pleased to announce the addition of California’s REFORMERS to its roster of artists. The band’s first Mediaskare release will be their debut full-length album ‘Abolish’, which is set to hit stores and digital retailers on April 29th. A lyric video for the track “Belligerence”, which will appear on the album, has been posted online and can be seen at

More and more you see people adopting the mantra, “Negative Minded”, or, “Stay Negative”, but why?” stated front man Andrew Backlin when speaking about “Belligerence”. Adding, “Hate saturates your very being, taking what was once joy, and extinguishing any hope for a future. Life has it’s valley’s, don’t get us wrong, but there is so much beauty in this gift called life that we have been given. Choose to live in hate, and soon that is all you will see, it clouds your vision, preventing true joy from even being possible. This song is our response to people who choose to live in hate, letting it sap any part of life worth living, and for what? The satisfaction of feeling justified for past situations? Tomorrow is a new day, love life, forgive people, move on, happiness is not out of your reach.

Abolish’ was self-recorded with additional vocal production from the famed Jeremy Reeves of production group The Stereotypes and mixed by Kyle Black (Comeback Kid). The album also features guest appearances from members of Winds of Plague, Impending Doom, and The Great Commission. When asked why they chose to title the album ‘Abolish’, the band responded “We see injustice happen every day, some of us being trapped in a chokehold by it, others being the cause of it. It seems as if our culture has taught us to accept these things as the social/political/spiritual norm, leaving little room for one to questions whether or not things could be different, whether or not they could be free…or whether or not they could change the world. We chose the title ‘Abolish’ as a battle cry. To abolish is to completely do away with something, to end it completely.

This album is our response to the injustice that we see around us. Instead of believing what we are taught from our culture, (“Thing’s will never change”, “This is just how the world goes round”), we wanted to question to status quo, approach the giant, and see if it were really as immovable as we were told. The album deals with many different injustices, each of them being things that we would like to see come to a complete end. We are all born to change this world that we live in, will we have the strength, courage and fortitude to abolish that which causes injustice?

    Abolish‘ track listing:
    1. Reform
    2. Reckless American (feat. Johnny Plague of Winds of Plague)
    3. Hooked
    4. Abomination
    5. Commercialized Genocide
    6. Greed Machine
    7. Eliminate The Sickness
    8. Belligerence
    9. PNP (feat. Justin Singh of The Great Commission)
    10. Lipserver
    11. Turn It Around
    12. Last One Standing (feat. Brooke Reeves of Impending Doom)

Hundredth’s new song “Demons”, from their upcoming EP ‘Resist’, can now be heard at ‘Resist’, which is the companion piece to 2013’s ‘Revolt’ EP, is set to hit stores and digital retailers on March 25th through Mediaskare Records and on limited edition vinyl from No Sleep Records.

Resist is much more melodic and at times more laid back,” stated vocalist Chadwick Johnson. “Revolt was fast and captured the dark and heavy parts of Hundredth. Resist moves just as steadily, while capturing the more melodic side of the band.” Adding; “Thematically, Resist is more about the evolution of the Self whereas Revolt is more about collective consciousness.

The ‘Revolt / Resist’ EP set was recorded with producers Bill Stevenson (Rise Against, Black Flag) and Jason Livermore (Stick To Your Guns) at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, CO. Explaining what the the experience was like, Chadwick offered the following: “It was a great environment. So many classic records have come out of The Blasting Room, it was a bit surreal walking down the hallways.” He added, “Both of them were very on board with the project. Jason was a stickler, which helped both of the EPs to be the best they could be. Bill kept morale up, had a ton of great input and I believe captured the best version of Hundredth to date.

Mediaskare Records has signed Dublin, Ireland’s RED ENEMY, who will be coming to the U.S. in February to record their new album with producer Taylor Voeltz (Mureau). For now, a music video for the band’s previously recorded song “Changing The End” has been premiered on the Mediaskare YouTube channel, which can be seen here

The song addresses a topic that has certainly had no shortage of coverage amongst bands over the past two decades, which essentially is standing up for what you believe in,” stated the band. Adding, “It’s about not settling for the mundane, getting out there and grabbing whatever it is you believe in with both hands. It’s a cliché topic, but one that constantly rears its head on a daily basis. Everyone should strive to have the courage and ambition to follow their heart regardless of what anyone tells you. It seems obvious, but no harm in reminding people of that as much as possible.

The video for the track was directed by Luke Daly, who came up with the concept. “He had this vision he had wanted to make a reality for some time and he figured we were the band to help make that happen. We loved it instantly. We had wanted to do something completely different for some time, something out of the ordinary, something that would make people go “what the hell did I just watch there”, and this was the perfect opportunity with an incredibly talented director.” Explaining, “The video itself depicts two particular aspects of the song meaning, courage and perseverance. There were some crazy long days and some touchy issues with the quarry owner but we got it done and the final product is delish.

    The Prestige

Mediaskare Records is proud to announce the addition of Montreal, Quebec’s The Prestige to its roster of artists and will release the band’s Antoine Lussier produced album ‘Ecotone’ on March 18th. You can listen to the track “Dismantle” from the album now at

We chose to release Dismantle first because we feel it perfectly represents everything contained on the album musically, its heavy and catchy,” stated guitarist Sebastien Marois. Adding, “Lyrically, Martin and JC wrote the song as an interpretation of the last lucid moments with your loved ones and facing the realization that your whole life is being dismantled brick by brick. Both have had the disease impact their lives in a big way. It’s a terrible thing to imagine, having all the people you love and have had by your side your entire life slowly become complete strangers.

An ecotone is a transition area between two biomes, It is where two communities meet and integrate. It may be narrow or wide, and it may be local (the zone between a field and forest) or regional (the transition between forest and grassland ecosystems),” explained the band. “Our bass player Blaise came with the idea about a year ago while we were writing the album and simply stuck with it. It really is a good metaphor about us. This album draws the line between our old sound and what we crafted over the years. The overall image is about separations, as in, before/after, right/wrong, and so on.

The band teamed with producer Antoine Lussier (Obey The Brave) AT .357 Productions to record ‘Ecotone’, whom the band has worked with in the past. “It was the third time we hit the studios with him and we had a blast. He truly is a genius and he helped us craft the sound we were always looking for. We are very proud of how it sounds and cannot wait to have everyone listen to it.

Ecotone’ hits stores and digital retailers on March 18th through Mediaskare Records.
